I tried PeaceHealth Rides because I figured it would be an easy, cheap option for a short ride. i already had a feeling these ride-share bike apps end up adding random fees, and this kind of confirmed that for me. The final charge was higher than I expected, and I couldn’t really tell what I was being billed for. I checked the app afterward, but the pricing still wasn’t super clear. For such a short trip, it just didn’t feel worth the hassle

The bike got me where I needed to go, so no major complaints. That said, the ride felt a bit bumpy and not as smooth as I was hoping. Overall, it worked fine, just a little rough.

So yeah, 3 stars feels about right for me. PeaceHealth Rides is genuinely useful when everything lines up, but I just can’t fully rely on it every time I need a bike.

When there are bikes available, the whole thing is easy. The app works fine, unlocking a bike is simple enough, and it’s a nice option for getting around without much hassle.
The problem is availability. Some days there are plenty of bikes nearby, and other days the stations around me are empty or only have bikes with low battery. It’s good when it works, but that inconsistency is what keeps it from being better.

I’ve never really had trouble finding a station around town. There always seems to be one close by, which makes things a lot easier when I’m out and about..

I downloaded the app while I was waiting for my coffee, and it was really straightforward. Setting up my account only took a couple minutes, and I didn’t run into any weird login or verification problems. So far, it’s been simple and easy to use.
